Hand crafted
Every Indian kitchen has a masala dani. That one round box that sits closest to the stove, opened a hundred times a day, holding the soul of every dish cooked in that kitchen.
This one just happens to be extraordinary.
The Brass Masala Dani with Spoon is hand-crafted with intricate embossed detailing, a spice box that is as much a piece of craft as it is a kitchen essential. Seven individual katoris sit neatly inside, each holding a different spice, each ready at a moment’s reach. The fitted lid keeps everything fresh, contained, and beautifully out of sight until the cooking begins.
Brass naturally preserves the potency of spices, no plastic leaching, no moisture seeping in, no compromise on flavour.
Open it once and it becomes part of your kitchen forever.

Everyday Care
- Wash with mild dish soap and a soft sponge after each use.
- Avoid using abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or harsh scrubbers, as they may damage the finish and tin lining (Kalai).
- Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth after washing to prevent water spots and maintain its natural shine.
To Restore the Shine
Over time, brass/Copper/Kansa naturally develops a soft patina, which is a sign of authentic metal and does not affect its performance.
To bring back its original lustre :
- Gently rub the exterior with a natural paste made from Flour (atta) + Lemon + Salt.
- Rinse with clean water and wipe dry immediately.
- Avoid using acidic cleaners on the tin-lined interior (Kalai).
Every Pitalya piece is thoughtfully handcrafted by skilled artisans, making each creation truly one of a kind. As a result, slight variations in size, weight, shape, colour, texture, or finish are natural and reflect the beauty and authenticity of traditional handmade craftsmanship.
Please note that product images may vary slightly from the actual product due to lighting conditions, photography, and individual screen settings.
Rest assured, every Pitalya product is crafted using 100% pure brass, copper, or kansa (as specified) with meticulous attention to quality, craftsmanship, and timeless design. While each piece may have subtle handcrafted variations, the design, material, and quality will always remain true to what is shown and described.
